Space Heater (portable)

Electric space heaters pass electricity through thin wires, typically tungsten, in order to heat them. They transfer their heat primarily by convection or radiation. Many have fans that blow air through the heating elements.

Electric space heaters are a healt risk because they can set fire to other objects that are too close to the heater. They usually now use tip sensors to detect if they have been knocked over, to prevent setting flooring on fire.
